The hotel mixes antiques with superb contemporary bathrooms, offering real books and a deep bath to die for in rooms with nice views of York Minster. The service was top-notch, especially from the main male member of staff in the car. The location is a gem, nestled in lovely gardens next to York Minster and within the old city walls. Dining options were limited to drinks or tea, not much variety. Overall, a charming stay with some room for improvement.
